Here’s great news for Chicago’s trans community. Organizers with Chicago House cut the ribbon on Monday for a brand new housing facility for the city’s trans population.
“This will set a new model and a new standard for other cities,” said Chicago House CEO, Rev. Stan J. Sloan during the morning ceremony.
The TransLife Center in Edgewater is the first of its kind in the country, with 9 bedrooms for residents and housing, employment and health services geared to Chicago’s trans folks.
